Accident on boulder highway leaves one person dead in Las Vegas, NV

On Saturday evening, a five-vehicle accident occurred at the intersection of Boulder Highway and Russell Road in Las Vegas, Nevada. The accident resulted in the death of at least one person and non-life threatening injuries of three others. The Regional Transportation Commission (RTC) blocked all eastbound lanes of the intersection while the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department conducted an investigation. The police department reported that a Kia Soul entered the intersection southbound on a solid red signal while a Kia Stinger entered the intersection on a green signal traveling westbound. The Kia Soul then collided with a Nissan Altima, a Ford Mustang, and a Chevrolet Silverado. The intersection is expected to remain closed while the investigation is ongoing, and drivers are advised to find alternate routes.
