One killed in wrong-way crash in Reno, NV
At approximately 12:44 a.m. on Wednesday morning, a devastating crash occurred on Stead Boulevard, near Sagewood Drive. The Reno Police Department has reported that the collision was between two cars, resulting in the death of the driver of one of the vehicles. The other driver, 40-year-old Don Long Jr., was operating a pickup truck, travelling in the wrong direction on the road. Long sustained minor injuries, and has been taken into custody for charges of DUI causing death and driving on the wrong side of the road. Out of respect for the deceased, the identity of the victim has not yet been released, and will remain undisclosed until the next of kin has been notified. The area of Stead Boulevard was closed off during the investigation, and was re-opened at 5:00 a.m.

Help in a Crisis
Following a traumatic event, people often feel helpless, confused, and experience emotional shock. They are confronted with a situation for which they are totally unprepared.
Often there is no one available in the immediate aftermath of a tragedy to guide the victims through these difficult hours. The TIP volunteer provides this necessary temporary support until persons involved in the crisis are able to depend on family, friends, neighbors, and other resources in the community.
