Shooting causes crash in NW Las Vegas, NV

Early Thursday morning, a tragic incident occurred in the northwest Las Vegas valley that led to a shut down of an intersection. At approximately 4:00 a.m., Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) officers responded to a report of a shooting that had taken place on Farm Road, east of Hualapai Way. Upon arriving at the scene, officers made contact with the victim, who reported that his vehicle had been shot multiple times by an unknown suspect, causing him to crash into a block wall. The victim also told police that he had sustained at least two gunshot wounds to his torso, and was subsequently transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. Help in a Crisis

Following a traumatic event, people often feel helpless, confused, and experience emotional shock. They are confronted with a situation for which they are totally unprepared.

Often there is no one available in the immediate aftermath of a tragedy to guide the victims through these difficult hours. The TIP volunteer provides this necessary temporary support until persons involved in the crisis are able to depend on family, friends, neighbors, and other resources in the community.
