Pedestrian Killed After Crash On Boulder Highway, Wednesday Evening
Metropolitan Police are investigating a deadly pedestrian crash on Boulder Highway Wednesday evening. The accident happened at around 5:22 p.m. just north of Nevada Avenue.
According to police a man was walking across Boulder Highway outside the marked or implied crosswalk when he was struck by a Toyota Tacoma that was traveling south.
The pedestrian was taken to Sunrise Hospital by first responders but later died from his injuries.
The driver of the Toyota remained at the scene and showed no signs of impairment.
This is the 11th traffic-related fatality in the LVMPD’s jurisdiction so far this year. The crash is still under investigation by police.
Never walk outside the marked crosswalk and always follow traffic signals when walking in Las Vegas. Avoid walking on or around busy highways when possible, in some cases it might be illegal to walk on designated highways.
