Two Dead In High Speed Crash At A Dotty’s In The Southeast Valley Sunday Morning
Two people have died and one has been hospitalized with critical injuries as a result of a high speed crash early Sunday morning.
The accident occurred at around 4 a.m. Sunday morning on East Sahara and Glen Avenues near Boulder highway.
According to police a Toyota Corolla was traveling east on Sahara at a high rate of speed, and failed to make a left curve first veering off the road and hitting a wall. The Toyota than entered a Dotty’s Casino parking lot and continued hitting the rear of a Cadillac that was attempting to exit on Sahara. The Toyota still continued and hit unoccupied Nissan Altima finally coming to a stop at a steel rail in front of Dotty’s.
Both the driver and the front passenger of the Toyota were pronounced dead at the scene. The third person, rear passenger was taken to Sunrise trauma center and is in critical condition.
Police could not determine if impairment was a factor at the time of the accident due to the driver’s death. police are investigating this accident.
This is the 104th and 105th traffic related deaths in 2024 in the LVMPD’s jurisdiction.
