Single Car Crash Causes Woman’s Death In Henderson
A woman lost control of her car resulting in her death after striking a boulder in Henderson Friday. According to Henderson Police the incident happened at around 8:30 p.m. near Stufflebeam Avenue and Galleria Drive.
The 75 year-old driver was heading east on Stufflebeam at a high rate of speed in a 2007 Toyota Tundra. The female driver than failed to negotiate a curve in the road ,veered off the road and rolled over into a landscaped area and hit a large boulder.
The woman was taken to Sunrise Hospital where she later died from her injuries. Impairment does not appear to be a factor in this accident but speed appears to be the cause.
Several roads in the area where closed for approximately three hours causing traffic delays.
This is the 17th traffic related death in the Henderson Police Department’s jurisdiction this year.
