DUI Suspected In Deadly Motorcycle Crash In Northwest Las Vegas
DUI is suspected in a Northwest Las Vegas crash Monday that left one person dead. According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police, the motorcyclist, Joshua Yokley, 43 was riding on Lone Mountain Road near Rainbow Blvd. when he was hit by a car that was coming out of a private driveway and turned onto the road.
The driver of the motorcycle Joshua Yokley later died at the hospital. The driver of the vehicle, Edward Dukes, 28 showed signs of impairment and was arrested on DUI charges, according to police.
Duke’s first court appearance was scheduled for Tuesday, April 8th.
This is the 50th traffic-related death in the LVMPD’s jurisdiction so far this year.
There is never a reason to drink and drive, call a rideshare, a friend or stay where you are but never get behind the wheel after drinking.
