Pedestrian struck and killed in Las Vegas, NV
On Saturday night, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department reported a tragic motor vehicle crash near the intersection of Russell Road and Boulder Highway. The collision involved a pedestrian and a vehicle, with the pedestrian having been struck by the car. Unfortunately, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene, with their name and identity yet to be known. The cause of the crash and any potential involvement of drugs or alcohol remain unknown and are currently being investigated. As part of this investigation, Boulder Highway has been closed between Gibson and Boulder Ranch Avenue.

From 2015 to 2019, the number of pedestrian fatalities and fatal crashes generally increased. A total of 378 fatalities and 368 fatal pedestrian incidents occurred on Nevada roadways.
