Pedestrian Hit And Killed, Impairment Suspected, Search For Driver
Police are looking for the driver suspected of hitting and killing a woman in north Las Vegas on Monday night.
The suspected driver of a white box-style work truck drove onto
the sidewalk near Owens Avenue and Civic Center Drive at around 9:15 p.m. according to the North Las Vegas Police Departments statement.
The truck hit and killed a woman who was walking on the sidewalk of Owens Avenue. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
The same truck is suspected in another hit and run crash that happened on Tonopah Avenue and Arthur Street, about half a mile from the the original hit and run.
Investigators believe that impairment may have been a factor in this hit and run accident.
Witness statements described the truck as a white box style work truck and the driver as a Hispanic male adult. The driver has not yet been identified or arrested.
