Suspected DUI Crash In Moapa Valley Leaves Two Children Dead On I-15
Nevada State Police are still investigating a deadly crash on the I-15 in the Moapa Valley on Sunday, May 4th. The accident happened on the I-15 at mile marker 100 in Clark County.
Police said that eight people,including four small children, were involved. Two small children ages six and nine were pronounced dead at the scene.
According to police the driver of a Chevrolet Silverado with a boat and trailer attached was driving northbound on I-15 when he rear-ended a Honda Odyssey.
The Honda with a family of seven inside was stopped with other vehicles due to congestion. The crash forced the Honda into a guardrail, which would hit a nearby Hyundai Tucson with two passengers.
The driver of the Chevrolet Silverado is suspected of DUI and has been identified as Steven Woods, 40 , of Hurricane , Utah.
Woods was taken to a hospital but later released and arrested and booked into the Clark County Jail. This is an ongoing investigation according to police.
