Police Are Searching For An SUV Involved In A Hit And Run Near Downtown
West Bonanza Road and North City Parkway near downtown was the scene of a hit-n-run early Sunday morning. According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department who are investigating the case, a 2013-2017 Nissan Pathfinder in White hit a woman in the marked crosswalk.
According to evidence and video surveillance the Nissan was traveling west on Bonanza heading towards North City Parkway when they hit and struck a wheelchair bound 58 year-old woman who was pushing a shopping cart in the marked crosswalk.
Even though the woman was in the marked crosswalk the don’t walk symbol was displayed. The front of the Nissan struck the woman and threw her into the roadway. The Nissan than fled the scene without stopping.
The victim was taken to a local hospital by first responders with life threatening injuries. Police are continuing to search for the vehicle involved and investigate the crash.
