Pick-Up Truck And Motorcycle Crash Leaves One Dead In The Central Valley
Metropolitan Police were called to the scene of a deadly crash involving a pick-up truck and a motorcycle Saturday morning in the central Las Vegas valley.
The accident happened at around 10:30 a.m. near Bruce Street and Washington Avenue.
Surveillance video shows a motorcycle was heading eastbound on Washington Avenue, approaching a yellow light at a high rate of speed, at the same time a Ford F-150 was approaching the same intersection to make a left hand turn.
The motorcycle failed to stop for the red light and entered the intersection at a high rate of speed causing the motorcycle to collide with the truck and the rider was thrown from the motorcycle.
The driver of the pick up remained at the scene and showed no signs of impairment. The motorcycle rider was pronounced dead at the scene. This is the 121st traffic-related fatality in LVMPD’s jurisdiction for 2025.
