One Dead After Hit And Run In South Valley, Police Searching For Vehicle
Las Vegas Metropolitan Police are searching for a vehicle suspected in a fatal hit and run in the south valley early Monday morning.
LVMPD were called to the scene of a vehicle vs. pedestrian accident at South Valley View Blvd and Arby Avenue at around 3:00 a.m. Police are asking for the publics help in locating the suspected vehicle. Police believe a Black 2012 Toyota Tundra is the vehicle they are looking for. The truck will have front end damage on the left side.
Evidence at the scene suggests that the pedestrian was walking in the southbound travel lane of Valley View just south of Arby when the Toyota hit the victim.
The driver of the truck did not remain at the scene. A passerby found the pedestrian lying in the roadway and contacted authorities. The pedestrian had life threatening injuries and was transported to UMC trauma center and was later pronounced dead.
This is the LVMPD’s 140th traffic related fatality in 2024.
