Multi-Vehicle Crash In The Southwest Valley Leaves One Dead
A multi-vehicle crash was reported to Metropolitan Police yesterday at approximately 7 pm. on Blue Diamond Road, just west of Orduno Street.
According to evidence and the police, a 2023 BMW K1600 motorcycle was heading eastbound on Blue Diamond Road in the right lane. The accident happened when the front of the motorcycle hit the left rear of a 2003 Mercedes-Benz CLK also traveling eastbound on BLe Diamond Road.
The motorcyclist was thrown from the bike and ended up in the westbound lane, where a 2004 Ford Explorer hit the motorcycle rider.
The rider of the motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene, while the drivers of both the other vehicles involved in the crash were both sent to area hospitals to be treated for minor injuries.
The driver of the motorcycle has only been identified as a 34 year-old man. This the 14th traffic-related death in the Las Vegas Police jurisdiction so far this year.
