Kietzke Lane In Reno Was The Scene Of The Deadly Pedestrian Crash Tuesday Night
First responders were called to the scene of a crash on Kietzke Lane and the I-580 in Reno, Tuesday night. The accident, a vehicle vs. pedestrian accident was reported at around 8:00 p.m.
Once at the scene, first responders pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene. The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and was cooperating with police. Impairment and speeding do not seem to be a factor in this case.
The Reno Police Department M.A.I.T. ( Major Accident Investigation Team) is handling the investigation, and had the roadway closed for several hours while they gathered evidence. This is an ongoing investigation.
There have been a lot of deadly pedestrian crashes lately; it is advised that you follow all traffic signals and walk in the marked crosswalk to avoid an accident.
