Hit-and-Run Claims Life in Carson City


Officials have stated that a pedestrian was struck near Steward and Little Ln at around 6:30pm Friday. The victim was struck and the vehicle fled the scene soon after. Sheriff Ken Furlong said that the victim suffered mortal injuries and was pronounced dead on scene. The streets near the scene are still blocked off as police investigate. It is not known who the driver was at this point and police are looking for the offender. The police have not yet released the name of the deceased.

Help in a Crisis

Following a traumatic event, people often feel helpless, confused, and experience emotional shock. They are confronted with a situation for which they are totally unprepared.

Often there is no one available in the immediate aftermath of a tragedy to guide the victims through these difficult hours. The TIP volunteer provides this necessary temporary support until persons involved in the crisis are able to depend on family, friends, neighbors, and other resources in the community.
