Firey Crash On U.S. 95 Near Goldfield Leaves Three Dead
Nevada Highway Patrol released a statement Thursday August 28th regarding a fiery crash that left three dead on Saturday August 23rd. The crash happened near Goldfield on U.S. 95 at around 6:15 a.m. in Esmeralda County near mile marker 13.
According to Thursday’s press release a pick-up truck was traveling north on U.S. 95 and crossed the centerline and struck the left front of a southbound commercial tractor trailer. This caused the pick-up to overturn and catch fire.
The driver of the pick and two passengers were pronounced dead at the scene. The identity of the victims have not been released.
The Nevada Highway Patrol is continuing to investigate this deadly crash and are looking for witnesses with any information on the crash. This is the 24th traffic related fatality in the Nevada Highway Patrol’s jurisdiction this year.
