A Motorcyclist Is Dead After Crashing Into A U-Haul Truck At Rancho And Ricky
A young motorcyclist is dead after a crash Sunday evening around 6:30 p.m. at North Rancho Drive and Ricky Road.
According or evidence at the scene, video surveillance, and witness statements the motorcyclist hit a U-Haul that was going northbound on Rancho Road and making a U-turn at Ricky Road.
The motorcyclist was traveling southbound, hitting the right side of the U-Haul. The motorcyclist was than ejected from the bike and thrown into the road. The 23 years-old motorcyclist who has nor been identified at this time was taken to University Medical Center where he later died of his injuries.
The driver of the U-Haul remained at the scene and showed no signs of impairment. This is the 116th traffic related fatality in LVMPD’s jurisdiction in 2024 so far.
