5-Vehicle Accident Leaves 1 Hospitalized After Crash ON SR-160
Nevada Highway Patrol responded to an accident on SR-160 at mile marker 19, near Mountain Springs. The accident was reported at 4:38 a.m. and involved 5 vehicles. One person was taken to an area hospital in critical condition after the crash.
The eastbound travel lanes were closed for a time while Nevada Highway Patrol investigated the crash. The cause of the crash has not yet been released.
Over the past several days there have been many storms and lots of rain and snow in certain areas. Driving during these conditions can be dangerous and lead to large scale accidents on dark, rural roadways.
Making sure you have the proper tires and your vehicle is properly maintained could mean the difference between an accident and getting safely to your destination.
