Woman killed crossing the street near E Lake Mead and Pecos
One woman was killed on Thursday night after she was struck by a vehicle while attempting to cross the road. According to officials, the incident occurred at around 10:24 p.m. when the woman was crossing East Lake Mead Boulevard at North Pecos Road. They stated that she was in a designated crosswalk, but the pedestrian signal was displaying a ”Don’t Walk” sign. The woman was hit by a 2004 Acura TL traveling west on Lake Mead, as reported by officials.
Emergency personnel transported the woman to University Medical Center Trauma Center, where she ultimately succumbed to her injuries. The driver of the Acura TL stayed at the scene and did not exhibit any signs of impairment, according to officials.
