Two killed in multi-car crash in Las Vegas


Officials stated that around 4am near Sloan Lane a sports car collided with a sedan killing both drivers. Apparently the sedan driver did not yield and turned left in front of and struck the sports car and then went head-on into a concrete wall. Ignacio Villareal who is 49 years old was identified as the driver of the car that was struck by 20 year old Jahmel Cochran in the sedan. Both drivers were pronounced dead on scene immediately following the crash from major bodily injuries.

No more information was provided by deputies at this time.

The state reported 382 traffic deaths last year, or an 18% increase over 2020′s tally. According to reports, 2021 was the deadliest for Nevada roads in 14 years.

Help in a Crisis

Following a traumatic event, people often feel helpless, confused, and experience emotional shock. They are confronted with a situation for which they are totally unprepared.

Often there is no one available in the immediate aftermath of a tragedy to guide the victims through these difficult hours. The TIP volunteer provides this necessary temporary support until persons involved in the crisis are able to depend on family, friends, neighbors, and other resources in the community.
