Tragedy when motorcycle collides with Hyandai in North Las Vegas
A Hyundai Elantra and a motorcycle were involved in a deadly crash today near 5th and East Roam Blvd in North Las Vegas. The Elantra driver entered the intersection on 5th Street from Rome and was struck as he made the turn by the motorcycle rider. The collision caused the rider to suffer serious mortal injuries and was eventually pronounced deceased on scene. The Elantra driver as well suffered some injuries and was taken to Centennial Hills hospital and is expected to recover quickly.
No more information is available at this time and deputies have not said whether impairment or speed was a factor.

There were roughly 30 motorcyclist deaths in Clark County in 2022, up 25% from the year before. A motorcycle rider is far more likely to be injured in any sort of crash.
