State Police trooper vehicle involved in three car accident in Las Vegas, NV
At approximately 6:40 p.m. on Monday evening, the Nevada Highway Patrol reported a head-on collision involving a trooper vehicle on Las Vegas Boulevard and Sloan Road. Upon further investigation, it was determined that the driver of a Mazda had attempted to make a lefthand turn onto the I-15 northbound, directly into the path of the trooper vehicle. The Mazda then collided with the trooper vehicle, and was redirected into a Dodge pickup truck. After reviewing the dashcam footage from the trooper vehicle, it was determined that if seatbelts had not been worn, the crash injuries could have been much worse.
The Nevada State Police have urged all drivers to exercise caution on the roads, and to always buckle up. The importance of wearing a seatbelt cannot be overstated, as it can be the difference between life and death in the event of a collision. All drivers must remain vigilant and aware of their surroundings to ensure that they are driving safely and responsibly.
