Southeast Valley Crash Leaves One Dead And Two Injured, Monday
A fatal crash in the southeast valley is being investigated by police after leaving one dead and two injured Monday.
The crash happened near East Sunset Road and South Sandhill Road.
According to police a Chevy Equinox was heading east on Sunset Road and when they approached the intersection on Snahill Road. The driver failed to yield to oncoming traffic and made a left turn.
The Chevy hit a Honda first and then the Honda hit a Toyota that was stopped at the red light facing south on Sandhill Road.
First responders arrived and took all three drivers to Sunrise Hospital. The driver of the Chevy later succumbed to the injuries he suffered during the crash.The two drivers that were hit only had minor injuries.
Police do not suspect impairment at this time.
