Portion Of US-95A Closed Due To Fatal Crash In Yerington Friday
Nevada Highway Patrol was called to the scene of a two car accident Friday on US-95A in Yerington on Friday March 20th. The crash happened at around 10:35 a.m. on the highway with two vehicles and one driver in each vehicle.
No details were released about the cause of the crash but one driver was pronounced dead at the scene by first responders. The other driver was airlifted by helicopter to an area hospital with injuries.
The vehicles involved have yet to be released as well as the name of the deceased, pending notification of the next of kin.
US-95A was closed in both directions between McLeod Street and Luzier Lane for several hours while police investigated the accident scene and the crash scene was cleaned. This is an ongoing investigation by the Nevada Highway Patrol.
