Pedestrian Killed By Suspected DUI Driver Early Monday on Buffalo Drive
A pedestrian was hit and killed early Monday morning by a suspected drunk driver on South Buffalo Dr., north of West Badura Ave according to police.
LVMPD is investigating the crash after a pedestrian attempted to cross the street outside the crosswalk. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene after first responders attempted life saving measures.
The driver remained at the scene of the crash and after showing signs that he was impaired was later taken into custody for suspected DUI charges. Since the beginning of 2024 there have been 71 traffic related fatalities in the Las Vegas Area.
