Pedestrian Dies After Crash In West Las Vegas Valley Wednesday Night
One man died Wednesday night after being hit by a car in the east valley according to police. According to Metro police an elderly man was crossing the street outside the marked crosswalk when he was struck by a vehicle.
The accident caused part of Desert Inn Road to be shut down between Chieftain Street (east of Grand Canyon Drive) to Fort Apache Road, while police investigated the scene.
The driver showed no signs of impairment according to police. The police continue to investigate the accident. The victim has not been identified at this time.
