One killed in accident on the US 95 in the Las Vegas valley
A woman was killed and a man was arrested after a deadly crash occurred north of the Las Vegas valley. The crash, which took place at approximately 6:45 a.m. on Saturday, happened at U.S. 95 and Mile Marker 99, approximately 10 miles north of the valley. According to officials from the Nevada State Police, the collision involved two vehicles. Sadly, the woman passed away at the scene of the accident.
The man involved in the crash was taken into custody by police on suspicion of impairment. In addition, the northbound lanes of U.S. 95 were shut down for several hours, starting from the Snow Mountain Exit and extending to Paiute Way. This was done to allow for a thorough investigation of the crash by the Nevada State Police. As of now, no further information has been released regarding the identities of the individuals involved in the accident or the cause of the crash.
