One Juvenile Dead In Wrong Way Crash Near Speedway On I-15
Nevada State Police were called to the scene of a deadly wrong way crash late Saturday night near the Las Vegas Speedway. The accident happened at 11:14 p.m. on the northbound I-15, at mile marker 53 just south of the Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
According to police the crash involved a Ford F-250 pickup truck that was traveling southbound in the northbound lane. The crash also involved a Chevy pickup truck.
Police have confirmed that one juvenile was pronounced dead at the scene and no other injuries were reported by any other person involved in the crash.
The crash resulted in many lane and road closures in the area and diverting traffic to the I-215. The Nevada highway Patrol continues to investigate the crash and more information will be available after the investigation is completed.
