North Las Vegas Crash Leaves 2 Dead, 2 Injured ,Sunday
North Las Vegas Police were called to the scene of a deadly crash early Sunday morning around 1:05 a.m. near Lone Mountain Road and Clayton Street in North Las Vegas.
According to police a 2016 Honda HR-V was traveling east at a high rate of speed when the driver ran a red light and struck a 2005 Ford Expedition that was traveling north on Clayton Street.The crash resulted in both cars spinning through the intersection and colliding with a power pole and a wall.
Two people were pronounced dead at the scene , a 38-year-old passenger and a 53-year-old driver were transported to the hospital in critical condition and later died of his injuries.
Two additional people were transported to UMC Trauma Center with injuries but are expected to survive.
A search warrant was given to obtain blood samples from the driver of the Honda as impairment is suspected.This crash is currently under investigation and police are asking for help from the public.
