Motorcycle Crash Leaves Pedestrian Dead In Reno, Monday Night
One person is dead after a motorcycle hit a pedestrian early Monday evening in Reno. The accident happened at around 5:45 p.m. on west 4th Street near Summit Ridge Drive according to police.
Police discovered at the scene that a pedestrian was crossing the street at West 4th Street just east of Summit Ridge Drive.
The motorcyclist hit the pedestrian who was pronounced dead at the scene by first responders.
The rider of the motorcycle was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Authorities don’t believe impairment or speed were factors in this accident. The Reno Police Department’s Major Accident Investigation Team continues to investigate this crash. The identity of the deceased has not yet been released.
