Man struck and killed by truck in Las Vegas Valley
On Thursday night, a tragic accident occurred in the southwest Las Vegas valley. Las Vegas Metro police responded to the scene at 8:49 p.m. after receiving multiple 911 calls about a pedestrian ”laying in the road” on Warm Springs, east of Rainbow Boulevard. Evidence at the scene and witness statements indicated that the pedestrian had attempted to cross the road outside of a marked crosswalk, resulting in a collision with a 2020 Ford F150 that was traveling westbound. Emergency medical personnel determined the pedestrian had died on the scene and the driver of the F150 had no signs of impairment during Field Sobriety Tests.
