Jessica Saitta accused of DUI that killed Bicyclist in Las Vegas


Jessica Saitta, 35, was arrested Tuesday after a fatal collision between her car and a bicyclist at an intersection on Sahara Avenue. According to a police report, a witness reported that Saitta had run a red light at the moment of the crash. When an officer spoke with Saitta at Sunrise Hospital, she stated that she had been on her way to a methadone clinic when a bicycle had suddenly ridden out in front of her. The officer noted that Saitta`s eyes were bloodshot and watery, her pupils were constricted and not responding to light, and her speech was mumbled and slow. This, combined with the witness report, led to Saitta`s arrest for driving under the influence. Tragically, the bicyclist did not survive the collision.
