Hit-And-Run Crash Leaves Pedestrian Dead In East Las Vegas
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police were called to the scene of a deadly pedestrian crash Wednesday night at Stewart Avenue and Mojave Road around 10:30 p.m.
According to LVMPD the car was traveling eastbound and hit a pedestrian. First responders on the scene pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene.
Police are actively searching for the vehicle who hit the pedestrian. It is unknown if the pedestrian was in the marked crosswalk or if the driver of the vehicle was impaired at the time of the accident. This is an ongoing investigation. Police closed all lanes of Stewart and Mojave for several hours. The lanes reopened at around 4 a.m.
