Hit-and-run accident in Lemmon Valley, NV resulted in one pedestrian being killed
On Wednesday morning, tragedy struck the small community of Lemmon Valley, Nevada. At approximately 8:15 a.m., a hit-and-run accident occurred on Tholl Road between Kelly Lane and an unknown vehicle traveling southbound. The pedestrian, who remains unidentified, was pronounced dead at the scene due to the significant injuries they sustained. The driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene and no impairment was reported. The Nevada State Police have launched an investigation into the cause of the crash, examining factors such as drugs, alcohol, distracted driving, and speed.

From 2015 to 2019, the number of pedestrian fatalities and fatal crashes generally increased. A total of 378 fatalities and 368 fatal pedestrian incidents occurred on Nevada roadways.
