Female pedestrian killed in Reno, NV


Reno police reported that at about 2:30am on Saturday November 26th a woman was struck and killed by an unknown vehicle on N Virginia St. just south of Talus. The driver fled the scene and left the woman for dead in the roadway. The woman has not been identified to the public as of yet. The victim was pronounced dead on police arrival and authorities were investigating the accident for some time. Police later were able to find the driver, a 22-year-old Louis Vegas, who was a local to the area. He will be charged with hit-and-run among other charges.

Help in a Crisis

Following a traumatic event, people often feel helpless, confused, and experience emotional shock. They are confronted with a situation for which they are totally unprepared.

Often there is no one available in the immediate aftermath of a tragedy to guide the victims through these difficult hours. The TIP volunteer provides this necessary temporary support until persons involved in the crisis are able to depend on family, friends, neighbors, and other resources in the community.
