Fatal Motorcycle accident near Flamingo & Decatur
According to the police department a motorcyclist died on Monday after a crash with a box truck.
The motorcycle was heading west on Flamingo road when the incident occurred. As the motorcyclist approached a private driveway a box truck was turning left and crossed paths with him resulting in a collision.
49-year-old Arvin Tanda, the driver of the truck failed to yield the right of way, according to police.
The motorcyclist was taken to UMC Trauma by ambulance from the scene, but he was pronounced deceased by trauma staff.
The truck driver remained at the scene and didn’t seem to show any signs of impairment, the police said.
This motorcycle related death marks the 104th fatality of it’s kind in LVMPD’s jurisdiction for 2022. This accident is still under investigation.
