Elderly woman killed in accident near Pecos and Flamingo Rd
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department reported that a fatal three-vehicle crash earlier this week in the east valley resulted in the death of a 75-year-old woman. The woman had been driving a Chrysler, stopped at a red light behind a Subaru in the same travel lane on S. Pecos Road south of E. Flamingo Road. A 28-year-old driver of a Nissan was approaching the intersection, but failed to decrease speed and stop, hitting the Chrysler and forcing it to hit the Subaru. The Chrysler driver was taken to Sunrise Hospital but later succumbed to her injuries. The Subaru’s driver (63) and passenger (62) suffered minor injuries. The 28-year-old driver showed signs of impairment and was arrested on DUI-related charges.
