Central Valley Crash Leaves Pedestrian Dead In Hit-And-Run Crash
Metropolitan Police responded to a crash Saturday night that left one pedestrian dead. The crash happened at around 10:40 p.m. at the intersection of North Rancho Drive and West Washington Avenue.
According to evidence at the scene and witness statements a Hyundai Sonata was traveling southbound on Rancho drive when it entered the intersection and hit a pedestrian that was crossing Racho Drive.
The vehicle immediately fled the scene of the accident but was later located.The pedestrian later passed away from their injuries and was pronounced dead. This case is still under investigation and police are asking for help from the public. This is the 35h traffic related fatality so far this year in the LVMPD’s jurisdiction.
