Bicyclist Hit By Two Vehicles In Critical Condition
A 59 year old man remains in critical condition after being hit a two separate vehicles while riding his bike.
David Brooks was riding against the flow of traffic late Tuesday night, July 2nd at the intersections of Nellis Boulevard and Mt. Rushmore Parkway.
When according to police Brooks approached the Mt. Rushmore Parkway he crossed over the raised center divider and rode into the path of an oncoming Dodge Dakota.
The Dodge hit the cyclists rear tire, causing him to be launched into the Southbound lanes of Nellis Blvd. where a Chrysler 3000 hit Brooks.
The driver of the Dodge was arrested for DUI and taken to the Clark County detention center. The driver of the Chrysler has not been charged with a crime, the case remains open by the Las Vegas Police.
