69 year-old pedestrian killed in Mesquite
Nevada State Police reported that a tragic accident occurred on Wednesday, Nov. 15, when a 69-year-old pedestrian, identified as local Robert Gordon D., died after being hit by a pickup truck at a roundabout in Mesquite.
Investigation revealed that Robert had been walking eastbound in a travel lane within the roundabout at Ivy Lee Crest at Oasis Boulevard when the crash occurred at 5:12 p.m. The driver of the pickup truck was heading northbound on Oasis when it struck Robert, who was walking outside of a pedestrian crosswalk.
Robert was taken to a nearby hospital, but sadly did not survive his injuries. Police did not provide any details on the pickup truck driver.
