63 year-old David Jones dead after tragic accident near Rainbow Blvd in Las Vegas

Sunday evening, 63-year-old David Jones was tragically pronounced dead after a multi-car accident near Rainbow Boulevard in Las Vegas, NV. The collision occurred just before 7:20 p.m. and involved five vehicles, including Jones’ 2015 Chevrolet Impala and a 2014 Toyota Corolla driven by a 33-year-old man.

Jones was reportedly heading north at high rates of speed when he crashed into the other four cars at Spring Valley Boulevard. Paramedics transported Jones to UMC Trauma, where he later passed away from his injuries. The driver of the Toyota was also taken to UMC for treatment of moderate injuries. The other drivers were evaluated by investigators at the scene, and impairment was not suspected as a factor in the collision. The investigation is now being handled by the LVMPD Collision Investigation Section.

The TIP volunteer provides this necessary temporary support until persons involved in the crisis are able to depend on family, friends, neighbors, and other resources in the community.
