32-year-old motorcycle rider lost his life in Las Vegas


A motorcyclist was traveling along eastern avenue just north of Reno Ave at around 4pm Wednesday when it was struck by a vehicle turning into the road. That vehicle was a 2009 Mercury Milan and according to police it failed to yield to the right of way. It was determined he turned left into the path of the motorcycle resulting in this tragic accident. The rider of that motorcycle sustained major injuries and was pronounced dead on scene. The driver of the Mercury Milan suffered minor injuries and remained on scene and was cooperating with police.

No more information was available at this time and police continue to investigate.

Often there is no one available in the immediate aftermath of a tragedy to guide the victims through these difficult hours. The TIP volunteer provides this necessary temporary support until persons involved in the crisis are able to depend on family, friends, neighbors, and other resources in the community.
