19 month old baby dies during car crash in Las Vegas
It is with deep sadness that the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) announced on Sunday that a 19-month-old child, who had been abandoned following a car crash three weeks prior, has succumbed to her injuries. The incident occurred on February 18th, when a Nissan Titan crashed into a block wall on Spanish Drive, near Stewart Avenue and Hollywood Boulevard. The driver of the vehicle fled the scene, leaving two injured children behind. The 19-month-old girl and a 9-year-old girl were both taken to University Medical Center for treatment, with the 19-month-old`s injuries being deemed critical. Regrettably, on March 3rd, the LVMPD were notified that the 19-month-old had died from her injuries. The 9-year-old girl sustained minor injuries and is expected to make a full recovery.
