Spanish Springs Crash Leaves Pedestrian Injured After Crash With Semi-Truck
Nevada State Police are investigating the crash that left a pedestrian seriously injured after being hit by a semi-truck in Spanish Springs. According to police the accident happened Monday at around 4:30 p.m. on Pyramid Highway just south of Calle de la Plata in Spanish Springs near Sparks.
According to evidence a semi-truck was heading north on Pyramid Highway when a pedestrian standing on the eastside shoulder stepped out into the roadway for unknown reasons and was struck by the semi-truck.
The pedestrian was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries. The driver of the truck and several witnesses remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. Pyramid Highway was closed in both directions for several hours while police investigated.
