Passenger killed in roll-over accident in Reno
According to NV State Police police a fatal accident occurred in Reno on Saturday October 29th around 2:43am. Reports say that a vehicle drove off the passing lane side of the US 395 and hit a guardrail causing the vehicle to overturn. The driver sustained major injuries but is expected to survive, unfortunately the passenger was killed and pronounced dead on scene. The driver was later arrested for suspicion of driving while intoxicated. Nevada Police has not revealed the name of either party at this time.

Fatal accidents with only alcohol in the system of the driver at fault increased from 38 in 2020 to 47 just last year. Fatal crashes with marijuana involved rose by one death, going from 37 in 2020 to 38 in 2021. Those involving a driver intoxicated only on a drug other than marijuana went up from 13 in 2020 to 16 last year.
