One Dead, Several Injured In Humboldt County Crash

Nevada State Troopers responded to an accident involving several cars on Sunday, August 3rd in Humboldt County. The accident happened on U.S. 95 near mile marker 5 in Humboldt County at 6:20 a.m. approximately 5 miles north of Winnemucca.

Evidence shows that a white Toyota Camry was heading south on U.S-95 and a silver Ford F-150 that was towing a utility trailer was traveling north on U.S 95. The driver of the Toyota crossed over into the northbound lane, the driver of the Ford tried to move to the left to avoid the Toyota. The front right of the Toyota struck the right front end of the Ford.

A third vehicle, a silver Nissan Armada was also involved in the crash as a result of debris from the first two vehicles. The driver and passenger of the Toyota were transported to an area hospital with injuries. The driver of the ford was also taken to the hospital with serious injuries. One juvenile sustained critical injuries and was pronounced dead at the hospital.

The identity of the victim has not been released and this crash is being investigated by The Nevada Highway Patrol Traffic Homicide Unit.
