Motorcyclist in critical condition after accident with SUV in Las Vegas, NV
The North Las Vegas Police Department has reported that a motorcyclist, believed to be in his late twenties, is currently in critical condition following a collision with an SUV in the north valley on Saturday night. The incident occurred at the 3100 block of East Lake Mead Boulevard, near the intersection of Lake Mead Boulevard and Belmont Street.
Officers responded to the scene at 11:33 p.m. and have determined that the motorcyclist, who was riding a 2021 Kawasaki, was traveling westbound when it collided with the Jeep Grand Cherokee that was pulling out of a shopping center. The motorcyclist was taken to UMC trauma and is currently listed in critical condition.
Police have stated that impairment and speed on the part of the motorcyclist are believed to be factors in the crash. Traffic and CSI have been summoned to the scene, and the driver of the Jeep remained on site.
