Hit and run results in loss of a life in Las Vegas, NV
Las Vegas Metro Policed have reported that on Wednesday November 30th, a woman was killed while riding her moped when she was rear-ended by a truck who then fled the scene dragging the moped down the street for several meters. This accident occurred near Belmont Street and Dillion Ave. The truck is believed to have been an older model work vehicle or pickup truck. Police are still searching for this vehicle and the investigation is ongoing.

According to recent stats, fatal large vehicle collisions accounted for nearly 8% of traffic deaths, and a much greater portion of injuries than other vehicles in Nevada.
