Hit and Run Crash Leaves Two Injured, Police Looking For Driver
A two car accident involving a 2017 Kia Sol and a Honda Pilot happened Wednesday around 2:30 a.m. on North Pecos and East Bonanza Road.
According to police evidence at the scene including video shows the Kia was traveling at a high rate of speed heading southbound on Pecos Road. The Honda Pilot was traveling Eastbound on Bonanza Road at the same time. The Kia ran a red light and hit the Honda. A passenger of the Kia was thrown from the vehicle onto the roadway.
The driver of the Kia and a passenger immediately fled the scene of the accident.
The other passenger of the Kia ,a 19 year old man was taken to University Medical Center and remains in critical condition. The driver of the Honda was taken to the hospital and treated for injuries and was released.
Police are still looking for the drier and passenger of the Kia that fled the scene.
